The top of the ring measures 22.40 x 16 mm—ring size 8.5. Metal is 10 karats white gold. Weight is 6.70 grams.

Onyx is in good condition. The ring is etched, scrolling on a wide graduated shoulder to the bottom of the shanks. Masculine style ring with a graduated shank from 12 mm - 3.75 mm

Cameos were used to commemorate personages, as in ancient days; for example, in 16th-century England, cameos were made with the head of Queen Elizabeth to celebrate the victory over the Spanish Armada.
